Reviewed September 7, 2026.
The old $90 filing fee reported in this article is no longer current. As checked September 7, 2026, the Nassau County Clerk’s Legal Division fee schedule lists:
- Mechanic’s lien: $315, with additional block fees where applicable.
- Mechanic’s lien affidavit of service: $5.
- Mechanic’s lien amendment or satisfaction: $300, with additional block fees where applicable.
The schedule identifies an additional $300 per block after the first. Confirm the property indexing, document type, payment method and complete charge with the clerk before submitting. These are clerk charges, separate from title-search, delivery, process-service and legal fees.
Correct payment is only one part of filing. Review the lien’s legal basis, owner and property information, filing deadline, service and proof-of-service requirements. A rejected submission can create a deadline problem. Do not rely on an old blog fee announcement as a current quote.
